Very Dense fog this morning at 8:00am here in Weaverville, NC. Visibly roughly a 1/2 a mile. The elevation here is roughly 2146 ft above sea level. Weather measurements off my weather station that is mounted on top of my truck are: Dewpoint: 54.5 degrees F, Temperature: 54.8, Winds: calm at 0, Humidity: 99%, Including the Barometer reading (as we learned in Chapter 6 the air molecules are less dense at higher elevations, which is why the barometer reading is lower here than if I was at my house in Seneca, SC that the elevation is 951 ft above sea level), so the barometer reading is 973 mb. For future weather blogs I'll just put the pressure reading instead of explaining why the pressure is low. But since we just covered air pressure in chapter 6, I decided to put an explanation of why the air pressure is a low reading.
